These students are so talented and hardworking and they deserve THE BEST.
I want to supply them with what they need to succeed in the classroom so that my class isn't a burden on their families or their homes. Ideally, they can walk in my classroom as equals and have everything they need.
My Project
Basically I want all of my kids to be able to read Harry Potter in their own language. We have Spanish speakers, French speakers, Portuguese speakers, Russian speakers, Italian speakers, and Korean and Chinese speakers and a couple of other languages. I'm hoping that if I can include more books in their languages, they will fall in love with reading the way that we have.
This is about helping kids fall in love with reading.
It's really hard to love to read in a language that isn't natural to you. So hopefully this will help them. I love Harry Potter and I'm hoping they will too.
