I actually haven’t met my students yet, but I’m a first year teacher and I want to give them an unforgettably fun and educational experience—despite this being my first year. I love to celebrate my students individually because each of them has special talents and unique ways of learning, so I’m hoping to gather enough materials to adhere to those varied learning styles. I want everyone in my class to feel welcome and capable of succeeding and reaching their goals.
My students will be able to learn something magical if they have a copy of Sorcerer's Stone to read. I fell in love with the series when I was about their age (seventh grade), and I still carry Harry and his friends with me in my heart. The story has taught me a lot about life and love and loss. Without Harry Potter, I would never have become a teacher. I hated reading before I discovered the wizarding world and I hope I can repay the favor to my students by gifting them with the opportunity to read the first in the series.
They will be able to do more hands-on projects with the scissors and glue and the books.
