Hardware for Hardworkers at VBE
My students need a set of headphones for each person to let them individually interact with their laptops.
Our students at VBE are wonderful, but many of them come from families struggling with poverty. At home, a good number of them are responsible for younger siblings and are plagued by chronic stress. Despite some less than desirable living conditions, our students come to school eager to learn and thirsty for knowledge. Like all children, they are curious and generally happy.
Last year, we moved our school from an F to a C!
In addition to engaging instruction, we are utilizing innovative technology resources. We are eager to learn and are continually growing to be on our way to an A.
The fifth graders at our school are fortunate to have a one-to-one computer-to-student radio. Unfortunately, we do not have the hardware, like headphones, we need to give students the individualized instructional opportunities.
I want my students at VBE to maximize the efficiency of the resources we already have by providing a set of headsets for each student.
To do that, we need headphones for all students in our class. This will allow our 16 English-language learners the chance to hear material in their native language. Headphones for students will let my class hear individualized math and reading instruction! These will also ensure potential distractions are reduced by eliminating extra noise.
