My students are amazing! Our school is located in a rural part of central California in the foothills of the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. We love our community and the natural resources we have in our area.
Many of my students come from middle to low-income families.
My students come to school every day excited to learn something new and ready to take on a new challenge. While our students have many obstacles in their lives, they persevere and succeed.
My Project
My classroom runs on a token economy. My students earn "Pony Express" bucks all year long. They have the opportunity to buy items at my classroom store, and spend money during our flea market and trading post activities. At the end of the year, many students have earned so much money there are not enough high end items for them to purchase.
These earbuds will be available for students to buy, using the classroom money they have earned throughout the school year.
This is the first in a few projects that I am planning on writing to get some high end items for my students to stay motivated to keep working hard and earn classroom "Pony Express" bucks all year long.
