This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Scholars have adapted well to distance learning due to Covid-19. Students are easily engaged and more connected when the class is dressed alike in similar patterns and colors. Help us to give our students a School Spirit Week from home.

My Project

Scholars are stuck at home and oftentimes stuck at the computer. As a visual learner, I personally find it difficult to sit at a computer and pour through reading documents. Our young students need hard copy books to read, turn pages, and jot in. Many of the students do not have reading books at home and these hard copies can help begin to build their home libraries. These are titles that we have read in school together so I am sure that these emergent readers will be eager to continue following the storylines.
