Help me give my students three things that they need: help them be kids with device-free play during recess, help them take a break with pencil fidgets, and help them with flexible seating during English and Math classes!
Our third graders are wonderfully diverse. With 15 different languages spoken across our grade, we truly have a melting pot of different languages and cultures. With our diverse students, we also have diverse needs. We have students at all levels of language acquisition, as well as students with different learning and social-emotional needs.
In third grade, there is a substantial jump in what students need to be able to do.
Students need to be able to read for information, write four-paragraph essays, and solve multi-step word problems. There's a lot on their plates!
Our goal is to help our students thrive by helping them to be more comfortable in the classroom, giving them more opportunities to play, and ensuring that they can take the brain breaks they need.
These third graders are so hard-working and determined and we want to support them and encourage them to be the best that they can be!
My Project
We want to do everything we can to make school fun for our students. We want them to be excited to come to school every day, we want to make sure they are comfortable, and we want to make sure that they have a chance to be kids and play in between their academics!
This project will give students many more options for their indoor recess on days that aren't so great outside, will help them take a break, and will give them comfy seating in learning areas.
These resources will be shared across students in four separate homerooms, so any contribution will reach all of the nearly 80 students on our team!
We believe that helping our students in these areas will help them throughout the entire school day. Thank you so much for your support!
