This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our Library Media Center welcomes all of the students coming in with their classes on at least a weekly basis. We hope that our students will become critical thinkers, information problem solvers, enthusiastic readers, and ethical users of information.

Our school has a wonderful atmosphere of extremely caring teachers and administrators, and each of us feels extremely fortunate to be a part of our school.

Our students are mostly of Hispanic heritage, and are from low income families, and our school offers 100% free lunch. The students here are the most wonderful children to work with, and their families are just as wonderful. This place is just the best place to work or go to school.

My Project

Our students will be so happy to have a rug to sit on for story time and for smart board lesson time. The wall to wall rug is very old, worn, and badly needs to be replaced, however, there is no money available for such a luxury. Students will be able to have a place to call their own spot on these rugs.

Students will be excited to be able to have a rug to sit on for lessons and stories, and not have to sit on the old rug anymore.

The entire class will be able to fit on this rug without being crowded, enough room to be comfortable. When the students are comfortable, they will be able to concentrate on learning.
