This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am very privileged to be to work with two sets of Pre-K students. These little, inquisitive, fun learners started this school year in an explosive manner. Then suddenly, they were thrown into new territory- Distant Learning.
These vulnerable children from low income families are still excited about learning, but are inadequately equipped for remote learning.
They lack some necessary materials to effectively engage in our daily activities on the different platforms we use. Your help in providing these necessary materials will greatly enhance their chances of continued success, and help prepare them for Kindergarten.
My Project
Since our children are learning from home, they are expected to produce presentable responses and engage in explorative activities set up by the teachers on a daily basis.
With the materials provided, our "absorbent learners" will more effectively be able to engage in remote learning and explorations, and meet the expectations of the new school year.
Soon with your help, they will use the materials to draw and label pictures, work with numbers and letters to answer questions, and to create projects.
Learning will become more productive when our most vulnerable are provided with necessary materials. It will also be less stressful for parents, who are trying to meet the challenges of home schooling.
