Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is located in North Philadelphia, which is part of Title I enrichment program. Many of my students are faced with challenges in and outside of school. My mission is to ensure a safe and nurturing environment that also allows students to achieve academic success.
I want to give the students an opportunity to reach their highest potential and far exceed the expectations set for them.
The students should have experiences of learning through different means of learning and meet their learning styles.
My Project
Starting the year off is always a struggle. This year, I would like to go in strong with some classroom supplies! Since I make many anchor charts that are hung in the classroom, chart paper and markers are greatly used for those projects.
We go through so much paper a year, that I am always in need of extra reams of paper.
Lastly the students enjoy listening to stories. Many books that in listed on the project are some of the students favorite books. They enjoy laughing so I made sure to include some Kevin Henkes stories of the Piegeon.
The students truly benefit when I have the supplies the I need to teach a successful lesson, and with that I need your help in attaining those materials!
