My Students

My students are at risk of failing to meet the State's academic achievement standards. We are grant-funded based on the number of economically disadvantaged students.

My students come to me without some of their basic needs met as all of my children are 200% below the federal poverty line.

It is my job to fill in the developmental gaps and ensure kindergarten readiness. I serve at a Title I school.

I serve 20 children, all of whom receive free lunch. I have students with individual education plans and several kids with speech concerns.

My Project

We will be moving straight ahead with this math online subscription. It gives a placement test in a fun format of an online math game with spunky dinosaur characters. Each time a student accomplishes a lesson or goal their dinosaur egg cracks open a little more. It keeps the student motivated and on track to complete math tasks that are perfectly aligned to each student’s math level. I love the graphics. It shows the parts of a number, for example, the number 5 can be broken down into 2 & 3, 1&4. It is important for learning about addition and subtraction conceptually.
