Happy Lunar New Year 2023!

Help me give my students Chinese New Year banners, batteries, socks, candy, and tshirt.

My Project

This year we will be celebrating Lunar New Year on January 22, 2023! I always want to be culturally inclusive so we will celebrate the new year with fun activities. I would like to display the banners in front of our building so the entire community can see from the outside. We already have been making lanterns and coloring dragons in the classroom. We can also display the banners at the exit gates when the parents pick up their children.

I have read many Lunar New Year texts from different countries such as Vietnam, China, Korea, and Thailand.

It's important to value all cultures and traditions during this festive time. The candies will be put into the red envelopes. I will be giving some of my students new socks because I see many have holes or are worn out. The batteries will be used for our wireless mice and the t shirt is to represent the new year.
