My Students

The students are great kids that try to strive to do the best job possible. The one subject as a nation that educators are not seeing grow is in reading. Our school prides itself on having our students read. The students need to get a set number of reading counts points each quarter for part of their grade. We also take the first 15 minutes of every school day and have the students and teachers read. Normally this would be a problem but our kids love to start the day of reading.

My Project

The students have been using our iPads all year and have shown huge growth in their tests. I thought I had enough for my whole class, but ended up short for one period when more students got added to the class. 3M has been a great help with my goal by donating a lot of money to my classroom. I can not say how much I appreciate the help. The students study using apps for vocabulary tests, reading books, math tests, and looking for information needed in book reports. The students have enjoyed using the iPads to challenge each other to get the highest score on quizlet.
