This year, I am working at a charter school in an inner-city neighborhood with very limited funding. Every day my students face many challenges and hardships from their environment. Despite some of the challenges, my students continue to come to school every single day. However, keeping students actively engaged can sometimes be challenging due to limited resources. YOU can help change their minds about learning and prove to them that someone out there wants the best for them.
Making school fun while learning is all I really want for my students.
I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience in my class. By making school a place they want to go, I am hoping to inspire our learners to continue to love school and move forward with a positive attitude about their education.
My Project
This project will help my students stay healthy and focused on their goals by preventing illnesses through the use of hand sanitizer, soap, and tissues.Students are coming into school with runny noses and colds, and its important to stop the spread of germs and keep our classroom healthy. Clorox Wipes will help clean all of our surface areas in our classroom and having sufficient Kleenex will enable students to be able to cover and wipe their noses without having to leave the classroom. Your donation will help students stay energized throughout their day as I can have classroom snacks available when they get hungry. These supplies will help maintain a healthy classroom environment for my students, which keeps them learning year-round.
My goal for the upcoming school year is to increase attendance.
One way to improve attendance is by eliminating the amount of germs that float around in our classroom. Germs lead to many student absences and lost learning opportunities. Clorox Wipes will help decontaminate and clean all of our surface. Once we have created a clean and healthy atmosphere, it will lead to healthier students, improved attendance, and a better education!
