This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students we serve are from low socioeconomic demographics and deserve the very best every single day from their teachers and their school. The students we have are bright, eager to learn, and curious about everything around them. Allowing these students to have the same opportunities as every other student around the country is important to us and we will stop at nothing to provide that for them. The students at our school will grow into doctors, architects, chemists, teachers, and so, so many more things.

My Project

Students have the ability to fidget without being distracting by engaging with the busy band on their own chair. Students can focus more because they are not distracted by their need to move around. Students come from an atmosphere in elementary school where movement is encouraged (i.e. recess, active classrooms, stations, etc.) to an atmosphere of sit and get in junior high. Sixth graders are still developing and the need to fidget is only natural. With the busy bands, students can fidget without distracting their peers from learning. The bike desk will be a special reward for students to earn!
