Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a community where families have limited resources. Many families live in single apartments or in an apartment with other families. While families provide a roof, love, clothing, and food for their children, there is still more that my students will need in order to access a well-rounded education.
My Project
Our students have missed out on many socializing experiences during remote learning. Students will start having birthdays within the next few weeks.
We would like for all of our students to feel special and celebrated every day, especially during their birthday.
We are requesting birthday crowns for our students to wear on Zoom for their birthday. We are also requesting a couple of birthday hats for the teachers. The kids will really feel celebrated when they see their teachers looking silly for them. Additionally, we would like to gift them an arts and crafts activity kit and a family game.
