This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are so special because they have persevered during the pandemic with all odds against them. My students attend a Title I School where geographically and demographically they were hit hard with Covid-19. While working hard and learning online for a whole year, and now being back in the classroom, my students try hard to follow all the pandemic guidelines to stay healthy while also learning and being successful in school.

These materials will enable my students to grow not only academically, but socially and emotionally as well.

Flexible seating works great to give students choice, the chair pockets enable easy switching of seats. The wiggle seats are wonderful for students who need extra movement to learn and be successful. The organization tools are very helpful to keep students healthy and separate materials. Even the fun stuff like birthday hats, smelly markers, and smelly stickers are used to unite our classroom and have a positive classroom culture.

A happy and healthy classroom makes it easiest for students to learn. These materials will help my 30 kindergarteners to reach their full potential as they finish off the school year strong and go into first grade with a love for school and learning. Thank you.
