In my classroom, I have creators, inventors, painters, artists, technicians, and lecturers to name a few. Each individual student has different backgrounds, home life, family time, siblings and other situations that contribute to how they perform daily.
Each student focuses on what they can do the best that day.
The only way they can be at their best in performance is for the teacher, ME, to help make sure they have everything they need to succeed.
This is my ultimate goal. I never want a child to not be at their best or worry about not having something at school. I am here for them.
My Project
We are requesting notebooks, pencils, colored pencils and glue. My students use spiral Reading Journals for daily notes and new introduction to materials. These students have a responsibility to bring the spiral notebooks to class each day. They are responsible for writing or gluing information in that coincides with the lesson.
The students need certain materials to ensure that responsibility of bringing the notebooks to class is met.
The students also use spiral notebooks for Math. Once again, they are used for important notes or study guides and to help teach responsibility. The students have to make sure that these notebooks come to class each day. Unfortunately, new students come in and I need to make sure I keep enough of the required materials to ensure that student feels welcome and can perform and complete what the other students do.
