My students are such an inspiration to me. They challenge me everyday to be a better teacher. They come with many different home situations-poverty, lack of parental support, deaths of parents, and so much more. Despite the challenges they face at home each and everyday, they come to school willing to learn. They come to school for new adventure, they come to be loved, encouraged, and pushed.
I love that my students are resilient; they are each unique and have their own strengths that they bring to the classroom.
In using donors. org, I would be able to further foster the learning needs of my students to ensure that they are successful.
My students remind me of the "Why," that is "Why do I teach?" "Why do I get out of bed each day?" Why do I stay late? They will and forever be my "Why"; they are my driving force for all that I work toward.
My Project
We are a one-to-one school meaning each student has their own computer to use for educational purposes. We use the computers daily in all classes. Often time students are required to watch, listen, and/or make educational videos using their headphones. Students who receive read aloud services for special education also need and use headphones for assessments. Some students don't own a pair of headphones, or they don't possess quality headphones. I would love to have a set of quality headphones readily available for all students to use. Students would be able to borrow and use the headphones for all classes and subject areas.I would use the pocket chart to store the headphones in a place where it would accessible to every kid. The fabric covers would be used to prevent the headphones from being damaged.
