This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The students in this school are in grades pk-2. The students live in an urban area. Some students are in a single-parent household or live with extended family. The school is complete free breakfasts and lunches so that our students can get two meals a day.
Despite these challenges, my students come to school with smiles on their faces ready to learn!
Children are resilient, but they are children. I would love to give these students the ability to succeed in school starting now.
My Project
When I took over this classroom, I noticed that my students needed help with their handwriting. I have been using online resources to help, but I am looking for new tools.
This project is designed to provide the tools needed to improve my students' handwriting.
I am asking for pencils, pencil holders, handwriting paper, and more. These tools will allow my students to improve their handwriting. It is my goal to increase the writing fluency of my students. The products I have included in this project will allow me to do so more effectively. I am eager to see how these tools help my students' handwriting.
