Handwriting is a very difficult skill to address for many of my students in the special education program, and we are starting to see a large increase in general education classrooms. I work in the autism classrooms, cognitive impairment classroom, special education preschool rooms, and in the general education classrooms, and my students thrive when alternative sensory based approaches are embedded in their academic tasks.
I hope to continue RTI writing groups within the classrooms, and my goal is to expand to all seven of our kindergarten classrooms for mini lessons.
Handwriting without tears will allow me to provide support to my students, and expand my reach to new learners succeed in the classroom.
