My Students

The 16 students that I teach are from a diverse, urban setting and are very eager learners. For most, this is their first experience in school. My students often lack the resources and support they need to be successful in school.

My Project

We have been learning virtually, from home, since September. Preschoolers need hands on, engaging materials to create with, explore and use at home in order to enhance and strengthen their understanding of concepts. It is my goal to give them many and various learning materials to help support their learning in math, literacy and the arts. The materials requested will be used at home during online large and small group lessons,as well as, support materials for intervention and enrichment activities. Active learning takes place when children are engaged with manipulatives and materials.
