Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class is a room full of creative, funny, unique and eager to learn children. My students are four year olds in North Carolina. Our school is a Title One school. We have a high population of at-risk students and currently 100% of our children receive free breakfast and lunch. Many of our students are learning English as a second language. Our Pre-K is often the first formal school setting our children enter. It is our goal to provide a loving, nurturing, educational environment that meets all their needs.
My Project
My pre-k students love learning through technology. We have iPads, but need ways to safely use them. We need a USB charging station so our little ones can charge the iPads when not in use.
We need more headphones so they can safely listen to the games and activities.
I have chosen headphones that protect their ears and have controls so they can listen at safe volumes. We need new iPad covers so we can maneuver them safely. Currently our covers fall off and are not compatible with our headphones. We want to keep our technology devices safe and fun to use.
