Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach kindergarten and notice this year's students need more support with their social and emotional learning. These children were toddlers when the pandemic began and are in need of the social and emotional skills and experiences most children would learn prior to the world shutting down. This can be supported through dialogue and intentional learning through "play."

These students need to have hands-on learning and opportunities to learn social/emotional skills through intentional "play-based" education.

The students need hands-on materials to help build their skills in early literacy and mathematics.
