My students need various hands-on Science games, activities, and balances to help reinforce concepts taught in the classroom.
Can you imagine having vocabulary words you need to learn yet don't have strong enough reading skills to comprehend them? Or you have words on a test that you can read but have no clue what they are? That's a problem that many of my 3rd graders face daily.
I work at a large elementary school with very limited resources.
My students are so eager to learn, however, our school doesn't have the available funds to provide "extra" materials that would enrich their learning. Having the tools to create hands-on learning experiences would be an invaluable resource that would keep my students motivated to learn. They need to do more than "read the facts." They need to be involved and experience the concepts they're learning. Reading is not enough.
Can you help me make learning about science more fun and motivating for my 3rd graders? We need hands-on materials like games and a balance to go along with the unit we're working on. Bingo, for example, will help the class reinforce important vocabulary. Board games will give the students the opportunity to work together while they build science skills. The digital scale is yet another way for students to learn about measurement and weighing by actually using a scale to weigh various objects.
Your support of this project will give my 3rd graders the chance to have hands-on materials to help them reinforce the skills and vocabulary needed for this grade level.
