Hands-on Science

Help me give my students hands-on science. Many of my students are SPED or ELL and hands-on science help them the most.

My Project

I will use these supplies to do hands-on science in my classroom. I teach Foundations of Science, which is the lower level, SPED, and ELL students in my district. Many of them struggle with science and doing more labs helps them understand science by engaging them.

Chino Valley serves a large rural area and during COVID many of the students did not have internet, so we had to send home printed packets with a lot of reading and very little opportunity to provide help or feedback.

The items I am Requesting will be used for pH labs where the students identify acids and bases based on color changes using an indicator. The density cubes will be used for a density lab. Density is a concept the is hard for students to understand but the labs let them measure and calculate it in a way that they can understand.
