My students are all excited about being in 5th grade and the leaders of our school. They are developing social skills as their peers become more important to them. They are learning to work well together and respect each other, even in disagreements. They are cooperative with me, and we have fun with each other.

My Project
Here at our elementary school, we pride ourselves in hands-on learning in Science while maintaining high test scores. During our matter, electricity and magnetism unit, we try to fit in as many "kid" experiments as we can to make sure the students can grasp understanding. Each of the supplies we are asking for will help the students with experiments.
Student learning is enhanced when students can do experiments on their own.We have been using the snap city sets and the students love to learn and see the magic of electricity.
Unfortunately, we do not have enough for all students work in small groups, so we would love to have a few more sets so students can explore in smaller groups. It will provide a more hands-on learning experience for them. We are also asking for some magnets so the students can see the effects of attraction and repulsion first hand. The trays and containers will help facilitate science experiments at school.
There is nothing better than seeing pure joy and excitement when students can experiment and learn in science through experiments. All these supplies will benefit all fifth-grade students here at our school.
