My Students

Second graders are so much fun. They are at an age where they are learning something new every day. It's so much fun to see their faces light up when they "get it" or they figure something out for themselves. I want to instill a love for learning in my second graders. I want them to feel successful and know that they can achieve anything they put their mind to. The future is in my classroom and I want to help them develop a love for learning early in life.

My Project

Children need things that are hands-on the help them learn. I know the Lego science set would be a fantastic way to teach students about science.

Confucius - "I hear and I forget.

I see and I remember. I do and I understand." This is so true in the classroom. Sometimes educators forget that students need to experience things and figure things out instead of just being told. They need to work through a process that helps them understand why things happen, not just be told that something is going to happen.

This LEGO kit would be a great way for students to experience science not just hear about science.
