Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work at a very high needs school in East Austin, Texas. My students are very eager to learn. Hands on activities are the best for them as it solidifies their learning.

My students love science but our curriculum doesn't leave the time we need for it.

So I like to spend our indoor recess time letting them do hands on activities. They have had so much fun with my snap circuits that they often argue over who gets to use it. My kit is getting old and is missing quite a few pieces. These three new kits will make my students so happy and it will give them endless hours of learning entertainment.

My Project

We need three Snap Circuit kits for hands-on science activities to do in the classroom. Very often we are not allowed to go outside for recess because of the weather or testing. My students are stuck inside, but it gives me the perfect opportunity to teach them when they have no idea that they are learning.

These Snap Circuit kits are the BEST- they are both educational and extremely fun for the students!!

This year I had one kit that they are constantly arguing over. These additional kits will provide my students with meaningful play and learning when we are stuck indoors or have free time.I will also be able to use the kits with my science lessons.
