Ms. Carpenter from Chicago IL is requesting a class trip through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need funding to visit the Sci-Tech Hands-On Museum and experience a science demonstration.

People learn best by doing, and this is especially true for science! Scientific concepts are best understood through experimentation and exploration.
My students are hardworking third graders in Chicago.
They love to learn, and they love science class. Every day they are overflowing with questions that I could answer but are best answered through discovery and investigation. Our curriculum is hands-on and exploratory, but does not cover all the standards that a third grader needs to know.
To help my students answer some of their many questions and learn some of the content we have not yet learned, I would love to take them to the Sci-Tech Hands-On Museum. There, they would get to explore more than 200 hands-on exhibits and experience a demonstration on electricity. However, this trip is out of the city and rather expensive for my low-income students!
We would be so thankful for any donations to help us go to this museum!
Our school will cover the cost of the bus, so we just need admission and the cost of the demonstration. Help us experience science, rather than just read about it! Our future doctors, chemists, nurses, and engineers would be so grateful.
