Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
This year I have a vibrant, inquisitive group of Fifth graders who are spread widely across the learning spectrum. They each bring their own individual interests and experiences to the classroom, both positive and negative. It is important to me that my students take ownership of their learning and find ways they can be successful throughout their education. I believe it is important for them to become more self-aware and know how they learn best so they can succeed.
My Project
This project is a combined need for both Social studies and science materials for 5th and 6th-grade students. I want to make sure that my students are given the best possible experience in order to kindle their passion and creativity.
These hands-on materials including items for an in-class greenhouse and weather tracking materials to give students in Southern California a better idea of how weather around the world varies and impacts humans.
Social Studies supplements help create interest through mysteries and project-based learning to help students learn how to find and qualify research while still engaging them in the fun.
