Hands-On Science Lab!

My Students

In my classroom, I could have anywhere from 18-24 students depending on the school year. It is very important to have classroom routines to help optimize student learning.

First grade students are always excited about learning and very energetic!

They learn through many different settings and environments. They need freedom to explore but also need structure to support their learning.

I also have inclusion settings where students with special needs join the general education classroom for social and academic support.

My Project

My first grade students learn through many ways! They enjoy doing hands-on projects the most! Please help us raise money to complete our SCIENCE LAB so we can teach them about balance, motion, and magnets.

We need the balance boards to teach them how to balance in a stable position.

We also need to teach them what it means to balance objects. This is a great way for them to visually see someone balance.

We also need the magnetic drawing boards because we teach about magnets. We need them to understand the idea of a magnetic force. We want them to understand how magnets can attract/repel certain objects. This magnetic board will show them how iron shavings can be attracted to the magnet and move around on the drawing board.

We really want them to be able to explore these concepts of balance and motion and magnetism.
