Hands-On Science for Our Finest!

Help me give my students some amazing science experiences! We have talked about owl pellets in class and just last week we watched an episode of Myth Busters where they cultured bacteria! My kids will love these labs!

My Students

I get to teach the best class of third graders! They are so passionate about learning and they work tremendously hard to gain knowledge. They take advantage of any opportunity they can to grow as students and as people.

Although my students work tremendously hard, our community is not blessed with money flowing out of the coffers.

We could do so much more with donations to provide valuable tools to these students. We get tremendous support from our community, but I am hoping to go the extra mile with DonorsChoose.org.

My Project

These materials will make their learning and understanding of science head to the hands-on level. You can read, you can watch TV, or you can get your hands dirty and learn that way. I am a big fan of the third option and would love for my kids to have these hands-on experiences! We have discussed owl pellets and how much we can learn from those. We have also watched science shows about measuring and culturing bacteria. All of this strengthens my students’ understanding of both of these subjects. Life cycle on paper, cool, life cycle with bones in front of you, cooler! Thanks for helping!
