My students need hands-on environmental science tools and activities to help provide engaging and real-world science lessons. The sand and water table will act as a nature sorting table.
My classroom of special learners loves hands-on learning.
My students are exceptional people, eager to love and learn.
We focus on ability, not disabilities. All students can learn regardless of challenges they may face.
One of our favorite subjects is science. We have recently begun to explore the outdoors more, and learn about the world around us. We have a wonderfully diverse campus including gardens, a pond, fields, and woods. We are ready to start learning more about our school campus and the science living all around us!
My Project
Our hands-on learners need specially designed tools and materials to explore their environment. The sand and water table will act as a nature sorting table, where students can gather and sort items found outdoors. The other items will be used to assist in finding items, such as the magnifiers and binoculars. Then, we will be able to further examine their findings with our tabletop microscope. Students will learn more about insects, fossils, plants, animals, and the environment. These concepts aren't taught best with a textbook. We have a great campus for our students to get out and explore their world! These items will help our students accomplish their goals.
