My Students

Do you remember when we were in school learning about science and social studies. It was all read this book, watch this movie and do this page. I want to make learning science and social studies more interactive for my students.

I have 22 students in my 2nd grade class that are eager to learn all they can.

We are a Title 1 school that is located on a military base. Most of the 600+ students in our school have one or more parents currently deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan for have just returned from a deployment or are leaving in the near future. For many of these students this will not be their first time with Mom or Dad gone. Military kids face many challenges in their lives and I like to try to make their learning as hands on and fun as I can.

My Project

I am requesting some hands on center activities and experiments for my students to be able to use when learning about various topics in Science and Social Studies. I find that the more hands on the activities and learning are the more the students seem to enjoy learning it.

Please donate to help my students get excited about learning in Science and Social Studies with these great hands on activities that will keep them motivated and excited to learn on a daily basis.
