Springs School is a very diverse school. We have a large transient population and many students with special needs. Our population is diverse and unique. We are fortunate to have teachers who are creative, caring, and attentive to student needs.
We are looking to give our students the opportunity for engaging activities outside of a computer or standard pencil and paper.
By creating STEAM bins to be used in the classroom, students not only are able to use their creativity, but they are also working collaboratively.
The ability to work collaboratively and use hands-on materials is something that is invaluable to students. We want to incorporate items such as Legos, Kinetic Sand, Hexbugs, and games like Blockus to inspire creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Instead of always using traditional pencil and paper or some sort of technology when teaching, we want to encourage a fun and engaging learning experience.
Please help us give our students the opportunity to become critical thinkers, problems solvers, and the ability to work as a team. These are skills that not every student is fortunate to learn. Please consider helping us.
