Help me give my students more access to reading materials using the leveled readers and sight word string ups, allowing scholars to take ownership of their own progress.

As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my scholars are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Many of my scholars come to school hungry, and wearing the same clothes because of their home situation. Many scholars come to school tired because they don't have a stable environment to feel safe in. Despite the many challenges they face, they deserve the best education possible in a classroom that they feel safe in.
Hands-on learning will bring learning to life.
In my classroom we will have individual/small group learning time and I want students to have materials such as science experiments, activity mats, math manipulatives and reading supplies. Having number games will build confidence in number knowledge. These are items they can work with on their own while still learning. The phonics, rhyming, numbers and counting games that I have requested will build basic skills that all kindergartners need.
These materials will help my scholars build confidence and ownership of their learning. They will use the readers, books, and string ups to build fluency as well as social-emotional skills.
Building fluency and scholar ownership for their own learning will allow scholars to become lifelong learners.
They will have a new outlook on learning while using these materials.
Using the math tens frame will allow scholars to show their thought processes to others in the classroom. By building their math talk they will build their connections to learning. All of these materials will help scholars become successful for the rest of the year and years to come
