My students need Ocean Science kit, Ocean Trash Can kit, and Ocean waves kit to have hands on projects to learn about these ocean concepts.

My Students

My students learn best with hands-on experiments and first hand looks at things. They have a great enthusiasm for learning and for math and science. We are from a Title I school. My students come to school with an eagerness to learn. I want to grow my students curiosity to learn by showing them that learning can be fun. Mrs. Fizzle always said to " take chances, make mistakes, get messy!" and my class does this with hands on learning and STEM. My classroom is a fun place to learn. I have hands on activities everyday. My goal is to introduce students to science in a fun way and inspire students to want to pursue a career in science.

My Project

With the Ocean Science kit students can have a hands on activity to learn about the salinity, temperature, density, and pressure of the ocean and its currents. This is a concept that is not always easy to teach to students who have never been to the ocean. With the Amazing Waves Kit students can make model coastlines and learn about the waves that have an affect on different coasts depending on the geography of the coat. With the Ocean Trash Can kit students will explore how trash has an impact on our ocean and ways to clean it up. All of these kits will give my students a hands on way to learn about each of these concepts.
