We are a small, public charter school located in the rural town of Clarksburg in the Sacramento Delta region. Our students come from many communities up and down the Sacramento River, which means we serve students from a variety of backgrounds and needs. We provide services to a significant English learner population and a growing special education population.
We are always pushing our leaders and scholars to do their best!
Our school serves students in grades TK-6 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment.
My Project
Games can help me teach my students about math skills and Financial Literacy because it is an ongoing skill. Children need to be exposed to money early and keep building on their knowledge as the years go on. I am requesting Building Math Skills Playing Cards - Complete Set, and Teaching Math Skills Activity Centers - Complete Set, these items are going to help me provide centers for my students to interact with and engage in learning about money and other basic math skills.
I am asking for hands-on, engaging math centers to help reinforce all of the different basic math skills that are taught in first grade, including basic money skills.
My students will engage in counting money with the puzzles and games. They will also use their other 1st grade math skills to help strengthen their understanding about money.
