My students need magnetic numbers and counters, a measuring center, write and wipe pockets, and 8 magazine subscriptions to Let's Find Out for new reading and math materials.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
"The only way to LEARN mathematics is to DO mathematics." - Paul Halmos
For the upcoming school year, my self-contained special education classroom is getting several new students and we need more age appropriate materials--especially math manipulatives!
I am also asking for more weekly readers to complete our current set!
My Project
My students need magnetic numbers and counters, a measuring center, write and wipe pockets, and 8 magazine subscriptions to Let's Find Out for new reading and math materials.
Paper and pencil assignments are a thing of the past! My students are VERY hands-on and giving them manipulatives will enhance their mathematics learning experiences and give them a more concrete foundation to build upon in the years to come. The measurement materials are a great prerequisite for my students to learn how to measure items with a ruler. The magnetic numbers and counters will help my students create and solve addition and subtraction facts. All of these materials will be great for math centers!
These materials are going to help my students learn to add, subtract, count, and measure!
Thank you for considering a donation to my classroom. My students will forever be impacted by your generosity and support!
