My students are a group of motivated, inquisitive, caring third graders. We are excited to be back in our building to work together to grow our brains each day.
This school year, we are focused on building a strong, supportive classroom community.
Being back in person has been exciting for us. We have hit the ground running and already growing so much in our learning. We have made great strides in growing a strong school community. Students come to school knowing they are loved and are safe to make mistakes and learn. We work together every day to help each other learn and grow. Many students have limited access to learning materials outside of school. This means they need extra support to reach their goals. Our activities need to be engaging in order for our students to gain the knowledge they need to be successful.
My Project
Math is one of the most engaging times of day for us. We are so excited to finally learn how to multiply and divide and strengthen our math skills that we already know.
Math is best taught through hands-on, guided instruction.
This curriculum provides our students with access to hands on, engaging math. We are lucky to have access to manipulatives, this math curriculum focuses on the use of manipulatives to learn math concepts. This program would provide support for all learners. In order for math to be equitable for all, we need to give students the opportunity to learn it at their level. This guided math curriculum will meet them where they are in math and allow them to explore math concepts in a hands on manner.
