My Students

I am in a Title One school with a great classroom full of awesome kids. They are happy 4th graders even though they come from struggling household economies. We are a great cultural mix with several refugee students from Iraq, plus many Hispanic students, and a Polynesian student. Every child is unique and extra special. I feel so blessed to be their teacher.

They are fantastic learners, and I want to give them every opportunity to be able to maximize their learning.

Fourth grade is an important year in their young lives. We learn the basics of everything they will need as they move forward in their education. I want to give them a sure foundation to build upon!

My Project

Having a hands-on tool that self corrects and allows students to see their errors and then be able to fix them is a great learning tool to allow students to master math! This will be a great addition to small group work.

Though I teach 4th grade, I have students who need to still master third grade standards.

I believe that these wonderful 'Hand2Mind' tile kits will be motivating and fun and will give my struggling students the boost they need to catch-on and catch-up to where they need to be this year.

I am excited to imagine how this great tool will transform math in my classroom.
