This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students have a lot of daily struggles. Our community and homes are located in a high poverty area where education isn't a priority. However, I try to get them excited to learn and motivate them to be the best they can be! They amaze me every day with what they are capable of. However, my students do not come to school with a lot of materials necessary for learning!

I hope to receive support from DonorsChoose to help my students flourish in their environment and learning.

By getting the necessary supplies to help enhance our learning the students will be able to have hands on materials that enhance their learning and independence!

My Project

Help my kindergarten class excel on their reading and math skills through the use of the color coded alphabet magnets and unfix cubes.

We will use the alphabet magnets to spell sight words, names, cvc words, and more.

This will help us learn our sounds and words to help us become fluent readers and writers and also will make learning fun!

Our class will use the unfix cubes daily. These unfix cubes will be helpful because students can stack them and break them by themselves. The cubes we currently have are too hard for students to use independently. By using these new cubes it will foster independence and make learning fun for every student in the class!
