This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children need hands on learning materials to support their education. I teach in a K-1 cluster program. Cluster programs are designed for students requiring a self-contained significantly modified curriculum with moderate to intensive supports in a separate classroom from general education peers for the majority of the day. These hands on learning options allow my students to demonstrate their knowledge in a way that fits them best! Tactile materials allow for increased critical thinking and collaboration and also helps give my students the repetition and review that help them succeed.
