The kindergarten students at our school are amazing. I have 22 kids in my kindergarten classroom. Our school is a Title I school. Breakfast and lunch are provided for each student. These kids come in each day with smiles on their faces ready to learn. It is exciting to see how much they learn by the end of the school year. I am still amazed when I hear them sound out words and read for the first time. I am always so proud. Children need to work very hard and stay focused during the day. I try to provide a comfortable environment and exciting activities for my students. This will help each student stay engaged and excited about learning. I provide as many resources as I can when my budget allows. This is why I need your help.
My Project
My students work very hard each day learning sounds and blending words. I do my best to make sure I keep new and exciting materials in their rotation stations. We have 5 stations and the students rotate to each station during the week. They need new materials for the stations. Hands-on materials are perfect for 5-year-olds. They learn so much better when they can pick up materials. Materials such as the Double-Sided Magnetic Letters, Shark Vowel Game and Sight Word Bingo will help my student strengthen their literacy skills. The I Can Build Simple Words, Build A Word and Cvc Word Match will also make a great addition to our stations. My students learn so much better when they are having fun and enjoying our literacy station time. Kindergarten literacy is so important.
