Help me give my students bring their learning to the next level! Incorporating hands-on activities such as building models out of clay, recording facts on brightly colored post-it notes, and using individual white boards is extremely beneficial.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Within my classroom, I incorporate opportunities for students to bring their learning to life by engaging in hands on activities. For example, when learning about Emperor Qin Shihuangdi, my students use Terracotta Clay to build their own Terracotta Warrior. Likewise, when learning about Ancient Greek and Roman architecture, students use modeling clay to design their own temples, or structures using the techniques we learned about in class.
Building clay models, using a variety of art tools and mediums, allows students to use their creativity and artistic skills to make learning fun and engaging!
In addition to our projects that include many different art mediums, they can use the following materials for daily instruction, tasks, and assessments. The individual white boards and expo markers will give students the opportunity to work with partners, showcase their work, and allow the teacher to quickly check for understanding. I cannot wait to see the energy buzzing in my classroom with these new materials!
