Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first grade students are excited about learning! They love hands on experiences. They are curious and energetic. Students enjoy working together, especially during math and language arts.
In this classroom, students come from different backgrounds.
They are bilingual and speak English and Spanish.
My Project
Students learn better through hand-on experiences. I want my students to be continuously engaged in learning. The materials I selected will help me organized their games for easy access. These materials will also make a difference in the students' education. For example, the Post-it Super Sticky Easel Pad will give students the opportunity to collaborate in small groups and post their work in the classroom. Students will use and benefit from the Ultra Bright LED Light Panel because they will learn through sensory when exploring with math shapes or forming words in English or in Spanish. The Mini 20-Bead Wooden Rekenrek Abacus will help students solve addition and subtraction problems individually or in groups.
The classroom is a community of young learners.
I want to create an environment in which young children work together successfully. These skills will help them in school and in life.
