My class is a very unique group of students. I have students from the fifth and sixth grade in an MD/ Special Education Class. They are challenged every day with behavior, learning disabilities and academic challenges. My class has many different personalities. Each day is a new beginning for them. I never know what to expect, but that is what makes my job amazing. I AM THEIR TEACHER and it is my job to get them through each day.

They are looking for a smile, an everyday question that may get pushed away in any "normal" day. "How are you today?" I not only teaching my students, but I also look out for them and give them every day advice that they can use in life. Sometimes they except it and other times they don't. That is what makes my job so wonderful. It is not always greener on the other side. For my students there is no green unless I make it that way.
My Project
Many of the items that were chosen for my class will give them a more Hands on LEARNING experience. Having the calculators at their finger tips will ease their minds when it comes to a multi step math problem. The easel is another great tool for the students to work out their math problems in a larger than paper area. The desk blockers are great for them to stay on task and not get distracted from anything around them. Sometimes my students need to be doing more than one thing at a time and that is why the fidget toys will help them also focus on the task that is given. The phone read to self phones are a great way for them to hear themselves become a more fluent reader. The laminator will keep our Center work/ center games in good condition, so we can use them over and over again.
"Don't let what you can't do interfere with what you can do!" Having all of this new material will give my students an easier and fun way of learning.
