We are a public charter school that services students from several neighboring areas in DFW. Our K-2 program is focused on building 21st-century learners not just through academics, but with an emphasis on social-emotional learning as well. We truly focus on teaching the whole child. Our students come from all different backgrounds, and together we use our diversity to form a deep respect and understanding of our social, emotional, and academic needs. We are a family first and foremost and build our academics on that foundation.
My Project
This project will bring hands-on learning to our classroom. These materials will give students hands-on math and literacy learning, where students will dive into learning. This hands-on learning naturally engages and encourages kids to want to learn and step out and think creatively. Our students need fun and interactive hands-on activities that will help them learn new skills and review previously learned skills.
These materials will be used for hands-on learning during centers, providing materials needed to enhance our curriculum in math and literacy.
Students will be able to use these materials when working individually or in small groups. Hands-on visual learning is the key to our students' success.
