My students work hard, love to learn, be creative, use hands-on math materials, and dive into the world of technology. I teach third grade in a Title I school, where many of the students come from low-income areas with their basic needs barely met.
I'd love to provide the best experiences in the classroom to help them prepare for the life ahead.

My Project
These items will make such an impact on the learning my students take away from 3rd grade. My students are all at different levels. The letter tiles and sight word cards will help my students who are struggling to read, have extra practice manipulating letter sounds and form words. The shelf, white board easel, and throw pillows will help with organization, small group lessons, and comfort around the classroom.
The electronic items are where my students can really show off and present their learning.
The microphones will be used for students to record short videos using their laptops. For example, they can demonstrate a math skill, like rounding or addition with regrouping. The Sphero Bolts are awesome robots. The blocks will be set up as an obstacle course and students can either drive or program the Sphero to drive through the course.
