My Students

I have some amazing fourth grade students!! They want to work hard and I want the best for them when they begin to start testing this Spring. They are all young children and when it comes to the end of the year and testing they are not excited so I want to give them a reason to work hard in the last few weeks to prepare for end of year Reading tests. They also deserve to celebrate their hard work!

My Project

The black lights will be used to show proper highlighting and the grass rugs will be used to enhance our poetry picnic room transformation in three different classrooms to engage 69 students in content they are learning and provide hands-on real life experiences. They will be preparing for End of Year testing, as well as creating meaningful memories and a love for poetry. End of year testing can be scary for some students so by making the review week fun they are able to be more prepared for the upcoming Reading test. Poetry as well can be a undesirable topic for 4th graders. By transforming our classrooms into a picnic setting with poetry readings daily it inspires them to love poetry.
